Furzedown Youth Centre
The work created for Furzedown Youth Centre was done as a pro-bono project. One of our directors was a volunteer at the centre for many years and so when the opportunity came to help rebrand and promote the work we were happy to help.
The brand mark needed to appeal to the young people, the wider community and to potential funders also.
The bright, fresh blue was selected as it had a vibrant, youthful feel whilst also carrying the secure and trustworthy ideas associated with blue in colour psychology.
The promotional material purposefully used illustration so as not to specifically identify any particular young people as individuals or any particular youth subcultures too directly. Representing a gender balance and different ethnicities was also important to ensure the promotional items would engage all the young people the project was aiming to reach.
